Description
The University of Birmingham is looking to source the optimum solution for EPOS, preferably web based including software and hardware in all Catering Outlets with 60 touch screen tills. Multi-directional bar code scanners, thermal printers, in built customer displays and integral EFT payment system are required along with a Cashless Card solution to provide an effective, efficient system for Meal plans offered as part of the Accommodation package and at a later date to introduce a cashless solution to all customers utilising the Mifare ID cards. The system must have accurate, easy to use reporting able to break down transactions by customer type, payment type, till, location and VAT element. Sales information must be transferrable to a Stock System (currently Saffron from Fretwell Downing) and to University systems, Kinetics Booking Application and CODA Finance system via a verifying database. The costs must include support for the system throughout the term of the contract, including Help Desk, on site hardware repair, notification of regular upgrades and licensing for all software and an assigned point of contact with regular meetings to discuss issues and improvements.
