CWC24003 Overnight Short Breaks Service for children and young people with SEND aged 2-18 years - A - Market Event
Published
Description
Families Commissioning Service of City of Wolverhampton Council would like to invite you and Providers with relevant experience who have expressed an interest for the Market Engagement Event in relation to these services. We would like to share with you our vision and priorities for the development of an Overnight Short Breaks Service. The Support Service is a specialist provision providing -based support to children and young people assessed as eligible by the DCYP Team. In order to meet the requirements outlined in the ‘Short Breaks Duty,’ as detailed in the councils Short Breaks and Respite Statement the council aims to ensure that disabled children, young people and their families will have a range of overnight short breaks available to them. Overnight will usually be overnight short breaks and provided in established Ofsted-registered short breaks settings, but, subject to agreement with the Authority, may be considered in other settings such as holiday rental properties / caravans, with support from appropriately CQC regulated staff. The core requirement is for the provision of specialist overnight short breaks at a location away from the home, often in a residential setting for children and young people with SEND. It is intended to give parents and carers a break from their caring role and support in continuing to care for their child or young person The detailed service requirements are still in the final stages of development, and this Market Event will help to explain and inform some of the decisions and your feedback to inform our specification. Please confirm your attendance by copying and paste confirmation details from the attached form on the advert attached to the pro-contract project (DN751326) and submit via the messaging service/facility in the Pro Contract portal (https://procontract.due-north.com). If you have any clarification questions regarding the event please notify the Project Team via the messaging facility on ProContract portal. You will need to register your company details, if you haven’t done so previously. The Market Warming event will take place virtually on Microsoft Teams: 19th November 2024 from 10am to 11am. A link to the event will be provided upon receipt of confirmation of attendance message through the portal messaging service. Keywords: Overnight Short Breaks
