Banedanmark besluttede på baggrund af en teknikanalyse i 2016 at outsource vedligeholdelse af Banedanmarks jernbaneanlæg. Nærværende udbud er . etape af i alt 3 etaper, og omhandler udbud af manuel sporvedligeholdelse, opdelt i tre geografiske delaftaler med henblik på indgåelse af tre rammeaftaler vedr. manuel sporvedligeholdelse: 1) Sydjylland og Fyn 2) København 3) S-banen. Opgaven omfatter eftersyn og periodisk vedligeholdelse i henhold til gældende normer (normbaseret eftersyn), reparationsarbejder (tilstandsbaseret vedligeholdelse) samt akut fejlretning. Der henvises til yderligere beskrivelsen af delaftalerne i udbudsbekendtgørelsens pkt. II.2.4.
