Building Control Services for Lancaster City Council

Lancaster City Council (Council) is seeking to appoint a service provider to lead on delivery of its Building Control Services for Lancaster District. The Council is the Building Control Authority for the purposes of the Building Act 1984 and Building Regulations 2010. It is required by the act to provide a range of services to enforce the Building Regulations in its area. A proportion of those statutory activities are fee earning and the Council can recover its costs on a non-profit making basis. The remainder of its statutory duties are non-fee earning. issued in accordance with the Crown Commercial Services Estate Management Services Framework RM6168 Lot 4: Surveying and Strategic Advice. The Council invites interest from suitably qualified suppliers on Lot 4 of the said Framework to make an expression of interest prior to Invitation to Tender (ITT). Following completion of the procurement process and subject to the Council’s governance, the preferred supplier will be appointed to deliver the districts Building Control Services over the next 3 years (with an option to extend by a further 2 years).
