Cotoneaster Control- Pen y Corddyn Mawr

Published

Description

Cotoneaster species were originally introduced to the UK from Asia in the 19th century as an ornamental garden species. Since then, these species have spread widely across the UK including to important limestone crags, cliffs, slopes and dry grasslands in north Wales. As part of the Limestone Restoration Project, this contract will aim to control non-native cotoneaster species on part of a limestone grassland Site of Special Scientific Interest at Pen y Corddyn Mawr in north Wales. The contractor will use the treatment key to determine the appropriate treatment method to control cotoneaster in the work area. Rope access will be required.
