Value

810,000 GBP

Description

The Anode Plane Assemblies require a grounding layer of mesh panels. These will improve the uniformity of electric field lines around nearby charged wire planes and will also shield these charged wires from electrical signals originating inside the APA. The APA mesh panels are manufactured from metric section 304 or 316 stainless steel (certificate of conformity and material traceability is required) and fixed onto the APA via mesh panel brackets. Each mesh panel will be made by stretching wire mesh over – and welding to – rectangular frames fabricated from rectangular tubing. The fabrication of five different mesh panel designs is required, quantities for each size is detailed in the “Aim and objectives” section. The mesh panels will ultimately be housed in a cryostat, submerged in liquid Argon (LAr). Lot 1: The Anode Plane Assemblies require a grounding layer of mesh panels.
