The National Archives wishes to procure Exhibition Design and Project Management Services to support our League of Nations Exhibition September - November 2023. Scope of Exhibition • Exhibition to mark the centenary of Ireland joining the League of Nations. • Drawing from records held in the National Archives, the exhibition will explore the early ambitions of the new Irish state as it asserted its independence within an international frame. • The exhibition will introduce the Irish delegation who travelled and worked in Geneva in 1923 to secure Ireland’s membership, and explore key themes relating to the role of Ireland at the League of Nations during the 1930s. • The exhibition will also examine the achievements and legacy of Irelands entry into the League of Nations including our commitment to international human rights and equality, peace keeping etc • Working in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Royal Irish Academy (Documents in Irish Foreign Policy), the exhibition will be presented in Ireland as well as abroad. The services will include the following: 1. Develop proposals and design scheme for an exhibition that is designed as a touring exhibition based on the records/documents from the NAI collection and the story that NAI wishes to tell through the Exhibition; 2. Work with the NAI and other partners on the final design and documents selection/records/images/av to be included in the exhibition; 3. Develop an agreed project plan and overall budget for all elements of the exhibition; 4. Procure all aspects of the overall build of the exhibition including the procurement of AV equipment, audio/digital content etc and manage all suppliers; 5. Oversee and project manage the exhibition build and presentation in all touring locations.
