Severn Trent Water has a statutory and legal obligation to maintain all lifting equipment and other related assets to a safe and compliant standard. The Utilities is required to use an impartial third party to inspect and test this equipment and report back on remedial work as appropriate. Lot 1: Independent Statutory Inspections Severn Trent Water (STW) require the services of a Competent Person to deliver thorough examinations, working examinations, testing services, inspection reports, specialist technical advice, and written schemes of examination to ensure compliance with the following statutory regulations:- Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER)-Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR)-Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992 (PPE)-Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) Lot 3: Crane Servicing This lot is for the servicing and maintenance of powered, overhead cranes with the provision to supply new, replacement cranes / hoists as required by Severn Trent Water Lot 5: Pressure Vessels This lot is for the supply, delivery and installation of pressure vessels such as air receivers, accumulators and surge protection vessels including associated fittings as required. The lot also includes the refurbishment of existing pressure systems including re-coating of vessels internally and externally. All the vessels are subject to inspection and testing by an independent, competent body and will have a Written Scheme of Examination as per the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000.
