Description
For operational reasons Historic England bases its aerial survey aircraft at Oxford airport. These operational reasons include ideally located in a central part of southern England for survey flights, air traffic control cover during daylight hours, has secure hangarage, full time fire cover and access to aviation support services. Consequently, we have no option but to use the services provided by Oxford airport including aviation fuel, parking, hangarage, touch 'n' goes, landings and de-icing. The value is an estimated maximum cost and is likely to be an overestimate. The costs will fluctuate from year to year based on the costs of fuel and the amount of flying that HE aerial survey team can complete given the weather conditions. This contract should be linked to the In-Tend contract for the HE aircraft P/REF 00000017.
