Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council wishes to engage with the market place in advance of a procurement exercise to appoint a contractor to undertake responsive repairs, voids and planned works to its stock of nearly 10 000 properties. Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council wishes to engage with the market place in advance of a procurement exercise to appoint a contractor to undertake responsive repairs, voids and planned works to its stock of nearly 10 000 properties. The Council is holding individual meetings with prospective bidders to seek their views on the complete procurement process which is likely to include scope and duration of contract as well as form of contract and payment mechanism. At this stage the Council only wishes to engage with main contractors who have experience of delivering maintenance services to a large stock of properties. The engagement days will take place on 29-31.1.2019. To register your interest, please contact Andrew Harper, Procurement Manager (a.harper@welhat.gov.uk) Housing Maintenance Services Key Statistics — Responsive repairs, a total of 23 017 works orders are raised each year, — Voids, a total of 388 void properties are completed each year, — Planned works (including in the last 12 months), — Kitchens – 208 — Bathroom – 111 — Full rewires – 195 — Partial rewires – 319 — Re-roofing works (Dwellings) – 30 — Fascias & Soffits + Rainwater Goods (Standalone) – 108 — Windows (Dwellings + flat) – 76 — External/Patio doors – 173 — Electrical Testing programme - 417 — c9,800 council properties and 1 738 leaseholder properties, — 15 year partnering agreement with Mears started in 2007; currently in year 12, — Annual value 13 000 000 GBP (6 000 000 GBP responsive / voids and 7 000 000 GBP planned), — New contract to commence in April 2022
