Description
Helsedirektoratet [the Norwegian Directorate of Health] wants to enter into a contract for the delivery of further education in cognitive behavioural therapy for employees who will work in the Quick Mental Health Care team in municipalities. The education must provide an introduction to the principals of cognitive behavioural therapy and utilisation of these principles in relation to persons with different types of anxiety and depression difficulties, possibly also with sleep and substance abuse problems. The training must also provide competence in the use of tools to measure symptoms of anxiety and depression. Lot 1: The Norwegian Directorate of Health wants to enter into a contract for the delivery of further education in cognitive behavioural therapy for employees who will work in the Quick Mental Health Care team in municipalities. The training should provide an introduction in the principles of cognitive behavioural therapy and utilisation of these principles in relation to persons with different types of anxiety and depression difficulties, possibly also with sleep and substance abuse problems. The training must also provide competence in the use of tools to measure anxiety and depression symptoms. The target group is persons over 16 years of age. The RPH model builds on a British model to make business treatment for anxiety and depression available to most people; ‘Improving Access to Psychological Therapies’ (IAPT). APT employees have been trained in cognitive therapy so that they have competence in order to offer the service to the target group. The evidence base indicates that the effect of the measure IAPT and RPH is not the same as in the measure where health personnel do not have this further education. The purpose of the procurement is to give employees in the Quick Mental Health Care competence to treat users with different types of light to moderate anxiety and/or depression, possibly with sleep problems and incipient substance abuse problems as well. The training must be set up so that it is Carried out within one year with regular meetings at the same time as the employees work in the Quick Mental Health Care team. The education must include guided training/skills training) with suitable users. The Norwegian Directorate of Health want the option to increase implementation of equivalent further education in 2022/2023 and 2024/2025. Extension of options and increasing of education carried out in relation to adoption of the State Budget by the Norwegian Parliament.
