Network Rail is trying to understand the market interest and capability to deliver comprehensive services of ballast blending as described in the scope. With the main requirement being receiving used track ballast (product graded) and new ballast, by rail, carry out the required processing and supply a blended ballast, consisting of no more than 50% used ballast, in line with Network Rail’s track ballast specification, subsequently loaded to rail wagons. The Supplier must have rail-linked facilities and the relevant permits required to deliver the Services.
