As an organisation in receipt of state funds, the Directors of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board have a requirement under Article 37 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to appoint a dedicated Data Protection Officer (DPO). The DPO is a critical role in the organisation’s governance structure and must carry out their tasks and duties in an independent manner. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board are seeking to outsource the services of DPO within the organisation.
