Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of 14,000,000 GBP in the first year of this Framework Agreement however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. The estimated value over the maximum 4 year Framework Agreement term is 55,000,000 GBP. This is approximate only. Lot Lot 1: Ultrasound Gels Ultrasound Gel is a conductive medium designed to be applied to a patient's unbroken skin surface to provide a coupling between an analytical device (e.g., ultrasound transducer, optical glucose monitoring system) and the patient, allowing for the emission and reception of signals (e.g., ultrasound, light) that pass through the skin during an examination. It is in the form of a non-sticky, fluid-like gel that may also assists the operator's ability to move the analytical device smoothly over the skin to better analyse the site of interest. It may be used by a healthcare professional or layperson. After application, this device cannot be reused. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £650,000 in the first year for Lot 1 of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 2: Adult ECG Electrodes Adult ECG Electrodes are a non-invasive electrical conductor designed to conduct electrical signals, generated by a patient's heart, from the skin surface to an electrocardiograph (ECG) monitoring device, via an ECG lead wire (not included). It is typically a disk-like electrode that is affixed to the skin with a special adhesive, or adhesive tape, and a conductive gel (some are pre-gelled), or using a suction mechanism; alternatively, some types may be designed to be attached to hand-held heart rate meters. Electrocardiography (ECG) is usually performed using a set of electrodes (e.g., 12) connected to appropriate leads and cables. This is a single-patient use device. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £7,000,000 in the first year for Lot 2 of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 3: Paediatric / Neonatal ECG Electrodes Paediatric / Neonatal ECG Electrodes are a non-invasive electrical conductor designed to conduct electrical signals, generated by a patient's heart, from the skin surface to an electrocardiograph (ECG) monitoring device, via an ECG lead wire (not included). It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £500,000 in the first year for Lot 3 of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 4: Neurology Electrodes, Needles and Cables This Lot includes Neurology Electrodes which are applied to the scalp, used to detect activity from cells within the brain, these are then transmitted to a monitoring or diagnostic device which can visualise the data. An array of analytical scalp electrodes preconfigured within a head-worn device designed for the rapid placement and appropriate positioning of the scalp electrodes during electroencephalography (EEG), electromyogram (EMG), Electrophysiology (EP) or Polysomnography (PSG). It typically consists of a cap with integrated (and often removable) scalp electrodes, and shielded lead wires that terminate into a connector that mates with a separate cable. The device eliminates the need to glue or paste individual electrodes to the patient’s scalp. This is a single-patient use device. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £500,000 in the first year for Lot 4 of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 5: Pre-Wired Electrodes This Lot includes Pre-wired Electrodes. Pre-wired Electrodes are devices which are applied to the skin and transfer the electrical activity produced by the heart to a monitoring or diagnostic device which is capable of visualising the data. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £500,000 in the first year for Lot 5 of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 6: Foetal Scalp Electrodes This Lot includes foetal monitoring electrodes including hook and spiral style. Foetal Scalp Electrode is a device which is attached directly to the baby’s scalp during labour, this is then connected to a monitoring device capable of visualising the data. A sterile electrical conductor designed to transmit electric signals from the foetal scalp to an intrapartum monitor. The electrode is typically used to monitor a foetal physiologic signal (e.g., heart rate) during labour (intrapartum) after rupture of the amniotic sac. This is a single-use device and can be either a clip or spiral device. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £500,000 in the first year for Lot 6 of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 7: Abdominal CTG Belts Abdominal Cardiotocography (CTG) Belts are designed for use in the maternity discipline, these are used to secure a component/s of a cardiotocography (CTG) telemetric monitoring system, typically consists of wireless patient worn transducers/electrodes (e.g., leads and electrodes or Doppler ultrasound transducer plus pressure transducer), placed onto the patient’s abdomen. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £600,000 in the first year for Lot 7 of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 8: Defibrillation Electrodes and Pads Defibrillation Electrodes and Pads are an electrical conductor used in pairs to transmit a controlled electrical shock from an external defibrillator to a patient in order to defibrillate the heart (restore a normal rhythm) or slow a rapid heart rate. It typically consists of a cable set [with a connector for insertion into the external pulse generator (EPG)] that terminates with self-affixing pads (the electrodes) prefabricated with contact gel and an adhesive, that are applied to the chest (the intact torso) of the patient so that the discharge passes across the region of the heart. This device may remain applied to the patient during stages of treatment. This is a single-use device. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £3,000,000 in the first year for Lot 8 of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement.
