Description

The purpose of this request for information (RFI) is to collect information about the available products and technical solutions in the market to use in a feasibility study and preparations to a possible future investment. Our goal is to gain a deeper understanding into the technical opportunities and the potential implementation of an online condition monitoring system for tracking infrastructure wear on our Urbos 100 trams. Depending on the number of solutions offered, Sporveien will only give feedback to suppliers with the most relevant solutions. These suppliers may also be invited to Sporveien to present their solutions. Lot 1: Sporveien is in the process of reassessing our maintenance strategy, transitioning from traditional interval-based inspections to a more advanced approach involving online condition monitoring. As a part of this research, Sporveien is actively conducting a feasibility study to integrate specialized equipment for monitoring track and track switch wear onto select new SL18 low floor trams during their manufacturing phase. This equipment will be installed and will facilitate monitoring of track wear. This monitoring process will run throughout regular passenger operations, encompassing various track types—ranging from ballasted tracks to embedded grooved rail—and functioning effectively under diverse weather conditions. See attached documentation for more details.
