Description

The service provides a diagnostic test to detect H.Pylori, which can then be treated in primary care. Successful treatment of H.Pylori infection with antibiotics can contribute to the prevention of peptic ulcers. The diagnostic test is carried out by a range of contracted General Practices and Community Pharmacies within LLR, with test results and any subsequent treatment organised by the practice (as part of routine primary care). Lot 1: Primary / community care diagnostic test to detect H.Pylori, which can then be treated in primary care. Successful treatment of H.Pylori infection with antibiotics can contribute to the prevention of peptic ulcers. The diagnostic test is carried out by contracted GP practices and Community Pharmacies within LLR, with test results and any subsequent treatment organised by the GP (as part of routine primary care). The ICB is intending to award a contract to 28 existing providers following the PSR direct award process C, where the existing providers are satisfying the existing contracts and will likely satisfy the proposed new contract, and the contracts is not changing considerably, and the test for considerable change is not met. The approximate lifetime value of the contracts is a zero-based contracts, paid on cost and volume at £42.26 per test. The dates between which the services are intended to be provided are: 01/04/2025 to 31/03/2027, with an option to extend by a further two years up to 31/03/2029.
