MoJ is working in collaboration with the HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) and is conducting an early engagement exercise for the supply of Control & Restraint matting for their Operational Training Environments, also referred to as 'Dojos'. For local and advanced trained staff operating across the prison estates, training centres, specialist units and Prison Officer training colleges. As part of this, we are looking to gather more information about the current market, how it operates, what it supplies and the available scope of innovation/product development. The purpose of this notice is to gain an indication of whether there is interest in bidding for the provision of Control & Restraint Matting and associated requirements for Operational Training Settings. This would cover replacement and remedial work in 98 public sector prisons across England and Wales, National response teams and Prison officer training colleges. The requirement comprises of: 1. Design, Manufacture, Supply and installation of floor and wall matting to training rooms. 2. Design, Manufacture, Supply of portable systems for occasional use. 3. Design, Manufacture, Supply and installation of bespoke training settings, such as prison rooms, etc. 4. Design, Manufacture and Supply additional item training aids, such as furniture, etc. This will include new requirements, refurbishment & repair of existing facilities, supply and replacement of individual mats. Minimum requirement: - - 40mm thickness - Heavy duty tear resistant covers - Anti-slip bases - Mat, interlocking joining system for ease of replacement worn sections with no or minimal gaps to prevent injury - Compatible use with operational footwear and public order equipment - Industry standards - Varied colours and size Please email your expressions of interest to MoJProcurementOperationalGoodsandServices@Justice.gov.uk with details of: - - Any recent bespoke installations that you have completed - Confirm your industry standards & accreditations - Provide a website link (if available) This engagement notice does not formally signify the beginning of a procurement exercise and does not constitute a commitment by the MoJ to undertake any procurement exercise.
