Dental consumables. The contract is for the supply of consumables for the on-going provision of our NHS service and to support the teaching in our phantom head laboratory. This will be on an as and when required basis for 3 years plus the option to extend for 1 additional year. We are looking for a supplier that can supply all of the consumables that we use and can offer a suitable stock management system such as consignment ordering. As part of the contract we are looking to the supplier to provide a fully stocked onsite store (at University premises in Portsmouth). This requires stock management and stock control support. Mandatory requirement: suppliers must be able to supply all items listed on Appendix A and B plus other criteria defined in documents. Dental consumables. The University of Portsmouth Dental Academy champions excellence and innovation in higher education learning, teaching and the delivery of primary care dentistry. The contract is for the supply of consumables for the on-going provision of our NHS service and to support the teaching in our phantom head laboratory. This will be on an as and when required basis for 3 years plus the option to extend for 1 additional year. Undergraduate dentists and dental care professionals treat patients across 2 clinics of 44 treatment bays for 40 weeks of the year as well as undertaking simulated training in the phantom head laboratory. Dental consumables are required for the ongoing provision of our NHS dental service and to support teaching in the phantom head laboratory. We are looking for a supplier that can supply all the consumables that we use and can offer a suitable stock management system such as consignment ordering. As part of the contract we are looking to the supplier to provide a fully stocked onsite store (University premises Portsmouth). This requires stock management and stock control support. We would expect the supplier to provide a consignment stock system whereby stock levels are supplied and checked fortnightly across agreed lines and replaced as they are used. As part of a consignment stock system we would not expect to pay for items until used or pay for items that went out of date whilst in our stock room. We therefore would only expect to be invoiced for the goods after they have been used. Mandatory requirement: suppliers must be able to supply all 244 items listed on Appendix A and B plus other criteria defined in documents.
