Description

Escalator fabricated steps are replaced on 10 and half year basis. This competitive process will allow for the provision of all 16 different types of fabricated escalator steps that have key components step pan, yoke arms, wheels, treads and risers. As stated in specification SPC-LAE-TM00-0585257 03 and associated drawings of various fabricated escalator steps. As in Volume 2 specification. TFL has over 400 escalators to which there are 21 variants of machine and a rolling programme of refurbishment renewal and ad-hoc replacement. Transport for London require a manufacturer of escalator fabricated steps. These are replaced on 10 and half year basis.
