Framework for Excavation and Disposal and Drainage

Description

This Framework is for the provision of excavation work, associated disposal and provision of drainage and pipe work to South Tyneside Council. The term of the framework is 2 years with a 1 year extension. The framework will be for three lots. Lot 1- Preliminaries Lot 2 – Excavation work and associated disposal Lot 3 – Drainage Works Tenderers may submit a response in respect of one or both of lots 2 or 3 but must submit a response for Lot 1 if responding to lots 2 or 3. Notional quantities are indicated based on the previous year’s annual usage of work in the Schedule of Rates, this is to allow a notional total value of each schedule for tender evaluation purposes. Please note the quantities stated are an accumulation of various jobs that have been split up over the year and are not one large project. It is mandatory that the Schedule of Rates is complete for each lot that you submit a tender for, one Quality Section response is required which will be used for all three lots. It is intended that the Most Economically Advantageous Tender submission will be the contracted organisation in respect of each Lot, with the second and third placed organisation being retained as ‘reserve’ in the event of the contracted organisation being unable or unwilling to carry out works. Allocated work via the framework will be priced in accordance with the tendered rates, and the terms and conditions that apply to these call off works will be South Tyneside Council Terms and Conditions for the Purchase of Services. The purpose of the Framework is to identify appropriate contractor(s) for all Lots, who will be awarded the appropriate work when Highways Engineering outsource this activity.
