Acivico Building Consultancy Ltd on behalf of Birmingham City Council invites tenders for the demolition of Saxelby House, Barratts House and Kingswood House, Kimpton Close, Druids Heath, Birmingham, B14 5TF The works comprise of the demolition of 3 No. 13 Storey dwelling, general site clearance and removal of asbestos containing materials. The site must be well secured by use of appropriate fencing during the contract. The contract will be for a duration of 52 weeks, with an anticipated commencement of 13 March 2023. The contract will be awarded to a single supplier. The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest. You will then be sent details on how to log on which will enable you to download all relevant tender documentation. Requests to participate must be by way of completion and return of the tender documentation no later than 12 noon on Friday 02 December 2022 using the Supplier Portal. Site Visits: It is recommended that potential suppliers may wish to undertake a site visit to ascertain the existing conditions that could affect the demolition process. It is however a recommendation not a condition of the tender, therefore and if a potential supplier wishes to visit the site then they should read the following information and act on it accordingly. Open day has been assigned to view the site and buildings which will take place on Thursday 17th November 2022 between 9:00 am and 12 noon. Contractors who wish to view the site must register their intentions by the correspondence function on the Council's Intend Portal by 4pm - Monday 14th November 2022. A time slot will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis and the potential supplier's representatives must not arrive before their pre-selected time allocation. THERE WILL BE NO FURTHER OPPORTUNITY TO INTERNALLY INSPECT THE SITE. A maximum of three persons per potential supplier will be allowed to enter the building and must adhere to all government guidelines including social distancing and the current Site Operating Procedures. The maximum time allocated is 30 minutes inside the building for each dwelling. The potential supplier's representatives will be required to sign in and provide contact details (mobile numbers) whilst on site.
