Description

The University of Sheffield is out to tender on behalf of the Department of Estates and Facilities Management for a repairs to the turrets which are a part of Firth Court. Scope of Requirement: The works involve the replacement of the existing concrete filler joist turret flat roof structures with new steel and timber roof structures; window replacements; masonry repairs and the installation of new roof coverings. In addition, enabling works are required to facilitate the removal of the roof structures including temporary dismantling of internal partitions and alterations to plant and roof access equipment. The works are to be delivered in a phased approach in accordance with the tender programme; starting with the two Western Bank turrets to the rear of Firth Court, followed by the two front elevation turrets which are to be delivered sequentially. Closing date for receipt of tenders: 22nd November 2024 at 12 noon (UK time). Additional information: The University of Sheffield is not a contracting authority for the purposes of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (Directive 2014/24/EU) as amended by the Public Procurement (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020. The University reserves the right from time to time to voluntarily operate under the Public Contract Regulations (as defined above) on a case by case basis.
