Description

The Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage has developed a temporary Cost Rental Tenant in-Situ Scheme (CRTiS), which will see the Housing Agency acquire a home in order that an eligible tenant, who would otherwise be at risk of homelessness because their landlord wishes to sell the property, will be enabled to continue to reside in the property. The scheme provides for the tasks of day-to-day tenancy and property management be handled on an external contract basis via a third party. The home will continue to be rented to the household at the same rent which they paid to the private landlord prior to acquisition by the Housing Agency. Once the property is acquired the service provider will be required to engage with the tenant as set out below. A property inspection will be required at the beginning of the tenancy to assess what works may be required to bring the property in line with the minimum standards for private rented accommodation. Lot 1: Lot 1 -The boundaries of Dublin City Council The Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage has developed a temporary Cost Rental Tenant in-Situ Scheme (CRTiS), which will see the Housing Agency acquire a home in order that an eligible tenant, who would otherwise be at risk of homelessness because their landlord wishes to sell the property, will be enabled to continue to reside in the property.
