Port of Immingham Cement Storage and Handling Facility

Associated British Ports (ABP) intend to procure a Contractor to deliver the design and construction of a grey cement silo import facility at the port of Immingham. The facility will be constructed on the basis of either two or three silos with capacity to accommodate 10-12,000 tonnes per silo. The annual guaranteed minimum volume will be 250,000 tonnes per annum. The target date for construction to commence is March 2023 with the facility becoming fully operational January 2024.The facilities shall be required to store a minimum of 24,000 tonnes of ‘grey cement’, with an estimated annual throughput of 250,000 -350,000 tonnes, which is likely to arrive in shipment sizes of c.15,000 tonnes.
