24/006 - Provision of Network Services and Works

Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) are planning to deliver a national Network Services and Works contracts which will be divided into two (2) separate Lots, with each Lot awarded separately. Lot 1 – Distribution Network Services, Works and Operations Contract Lot 2 – Transmission Network Services, Works and Operations Contract Lot 1 – Distribution Network Services, Works and Operations Contract: It is envisaged that the scope will include, but may not be limited to, the provision of all required services and works associated with the following: • Distribution Networks PE Services Mains and Services Installation and alteration Excavation and Reinstatement • Steel Manufacture Low and Medium pressure skids Meter Protection Steel mains and services • Distribution Networks Emergency Response and Services • Distribution Networks Leak Maintenance and Repair Service relays, cut-offs and reconnection. Valve Maintenance and repair General distribution maintenance activities • Distribution Networks Leak Survey Services • Distribution Networks Metering Services Domestic, industrial and commercial meter installation and exchange and ancillary pipework Meter box repair and battery exchange Metallic pipework renewal • Distribution Networks Meter Reading Services Biomethane/Hydrogen Connections and associated civil works. • Any other ancillary works associated with the above Lot 2 – Transmission Network Services, Works and Operations Contract: It is envisaged that the scope will include, but may not be limited to, the provision of all required services and works associated with the following: • Transmission Networks Emergency Response Services • Transmission Network Preventative Maintenance Visual and Function checks PRS overhauls Mechanical and Electrical PSR inspections Installation painting Heating overhauls Electrical maintenance Electrical, Communication and Instrumentation Planned maintenance Metering and site calibrations ATEX inspections Cathodic protection • Reactive and Corrective Maintenance Electrical, Communication and Instrumentation corrective works Mechanical corrective works Pipeline inspections Land drainage • Large Transmission Connections Construction of transmission infrastructure (Steel pipelines and Above Ground Installations) • Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Communications and Instrumentation upgrade works. General civils and excavation Steel pipeline laying and fixing and associated works • Biomethane/Hydrogen connections and associated civil works. The scope may also include the supply of materials or other such ancillary services or works to support the successful delivery of the projects. This PIN notice and associated Expression of Interest will give Contractors an opportunity to provide information to GNI on their capabilities, expertise and knowledge which in turn will allow GNI to develop the Contract in an informed manner.
