PR450587 - 2720 - W Hobbing and internal honing machine Lot 1: The Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology IWU is planning a new investment in the field of machining technology for the production of components with gear teeth. With this machine, machining by hobbing and internal honing should be possible. The intended use of the machine is the development of processes and technologies as well as the implementation of technological test series for the use of new peeling and honing tools, materials or technology parameters. The field of application of the new machine is defined by the following product classes and technologies:  Machining of internal gears by hob peeling and internal honing  Machining of external gears by hob peeling (single gears and gear shafts with teeth)  Soft machining  Hard machining after previous soft machining and heat treatment
