Description

The Hospital’s existing surgical endoscopy equipment has evolved over several decades to many incompatible, outdated and irreparable systems, which can no longer be serviced and, as such, are now obsolete. The intention is to rationalise the equipment to a single multi-speciality visualisation platform with essential features such as a fluorescence (Near Infra-Red – NIR) unit that meets all requirements in joint surgery while meeting thoracoscopic and laparoscopic needs and reducing service/maintenance costs Lot 1: The Hospital’s existing surgical endoscopy equipment has evolved over several decades to many incompatible, outdated and irreparable systems, which can no longer be serviced and, as such, are now obsolete. The intention is to rationalise the equipment to a single multi-speciality visualisation platform with essential features such as a fluorescence (Near Infra-Red – NIR) unit that meets all requirements in joint surgery while meeting thoracoscopic and laparoscopic needs and reducing service/maintenance costs. Recent advances in surgical endoscopy have enhanced the precise and efficient identification and diagnosis of lymph node pathology. These developments represent a valuable addition to surgical capabilities, particularly in cancer surgery, which is a significant portion of the Hospital's soft tissue surgical caseload.
