Provision of Network Cabling Service
Published
Description
The CPS is seeking to procure a network cabling service that will provide ad-hoc cabling services on a call off basis for CPS offices and CPS locations in HMCTS court buildings. The service will cater for the installation of any new network cabling requirements or to visit, triage and fix any cabling issues at CPS/HMCTS offices and locations. The current provision for such services is coming to an end on 25/2/25 and CPS would like to procure a flexible arrangement with a supplier that cannot guarantee any new cabling/call out activity but the service will guarantee exclusivity if they do occur. All such network cabling would need to be of the following standard; Category 6 cabling as minimum Fibre Optic where available All structured cabling systems must conform to the ANSI/NECA/BICSI 568-2001 and ANSI/TIA 606A (2002) standards Any service would need to be supported on a next day attendance basis or on an as agreed with the CPS's representative basis, depending on the circumstances of the new requirement or issue to be fixed. Prior knowledge of the CPS/HMCTS Estate would be an advantage as CPS is not willing to accept the cost of site surveys as part of any service solution. CPS can provide sufficient site data to intelligently guide any supplier to the area of concern for triage and fix scenarios. The CPS is seeking to engage with the supply market as part of an information-gathering exercise to understand what services might be available to meet the requirement for such network cabling provision. Suppliers who wish to express their interest in this potential opportunity should do so via the contact details contained within the notice and shall subsequently be invited to attend a virtual engagement session in which they may present their observations/proposal to the CPS. Suppliers should attend a session willing to describe their capability both in terms of an operational solution and able to discuss their response capability. CPS would like to invite suppliers to present a solution for our requirement. Suppliers will have 30 minutes to present their proposed solution with a follow up Q&A session of up to 30 minutes. Presentations will be on Thursday 14th November 2024. If you wish to participate please email commercialhardwarecategory@cps.gov.uk to arrange a MS Teams slot.
