National Framework for the supply of Enteral Feeding Products to NHS Scotland either via the NDS or direct to Health Boards Lot 1: Single Use Enteral Syringes We require a Single Use Enteral Syringe for use across NHS Scotland that is capable of complying with ENFit Standard ISO80369-3. Syringes must be Purple. Sizes: 1ml,2.5ml/3ml, 5ml, 10ml, 20ml, 30ml and 60ml. Single use , sterile , Latex-free. Lot 2: Reusable Enteral Syringes We require a Reusable Enteral Syringe for use across NHS Scotland. Syringes must be capable of complying with ENFit Standard ISO80369-3. Syringes must be purple, sterile and latex-free. Sizes: 1ml,2.5ml/3ml, 5ml, 10ml, 20ml, 30ml and 60ml. Lot 3: Nasal Tube Retainer We require a Single Use Nasal Tube Retainer that may be fitted to a wide range of patients in differing environments across all Health Boards, with the nasal feeding tubes being supplied by a range of different suppliers. The nasal tube retaining device shall minimise the chance of patient discomfort while maximising the retention of the nasal tube in the fitted position, and should securely hold the nasal tube to the patient. Lot 4: pH Indicator Strips and Readers We require a pH Indicator Strip which is used for the determination of human gastric aspirate from patients. The pH Indicator Strip should minimise the risk of false readings in the event of the tube being contaminated and must be supplied in a reading scale of 0.5. We also require a pH Reader that operates based on the pH paper provided, which can be used in cases of unclear or subjective manual readings. Please note a pH reader is not a mandatory product and therefore will not be scored or evaluated. Lot 5: Feeding Tubes & Accessories We require a range of enteral feeding tubes and accessories. Each product should be constructed to maximise ease of insertion and minimise risk to patients. During the product life cycle it should support efficient and effective operation in the variety of scenarios and user skills likely to be encountered. Lot 6: Innovation Lot Lot six is an unscored Innovation Lot. Any supplier awarded to Lots 1-5 on the framework can propose new enteral feeding products to be added to Lot 6 throughout the duration of the framework, subject to Clinical Advisory Panel approval. Proposals must align with the framework scope and minimum standards. Any proposal that replicates or duplicates any of the other Lots within framework will not be considered. Proposals should not crossover any other NHS Scotland contract or framework. Clinical Advisory Panel approval is final.
