Provision of appraisal of adequacy of building warrant fees for verifying low-rise volume housebuilding sites.

Description

The aims of this project are to: identify if the income gathered by building warrant application fees for low-rise volume house building sites cover the costs of the local authority verification processes involved, identify variations in practice by local authority verifiers in how they verify the value of works stated on building warrant application forms, identify variation in the levels of site inspections and checks carried out by local authority verifiers on low-rise volume housing; and identify the effect of removing the sampling options that are currently part of VDC.
