The proposed development works to the Brewhouse Building to facilitate its conversion to a range of uses including Education, Research and Development, and / or Office facility consists of: — The retention and re-use of the Brewhouse Building (approx. 4 530 sq.m.), a 2 / 3 and part 4 and 5 storey concrete framed building. — The demolition of a 2 storey steel framed extension to the south of the original ‘Bauhaus’ structure.(855 sq.m. ground and 110 sq.m. Second Floor.) — Construction of a new 220 sq.m. penthouse level over the northern section of the building. — Insertion of new floors in voids at first and second floor level to create additional floor space within the existing building envelope. Replacement of part of the existing roof structure — This building is to be constructed to a L.E.E.D Gold certified standard.
