Transport for London (TfL) is inviting suppliers to express interest in the early market engagement for the S-Stock cab seat overhaul. See Section II.2.4). Description of the procurement (nature and quantity of works, supplies or services or indication of needs and requirements) for further information. Transport for London (TfL) is inviting suppliers to express interest in the early market engagement for the S-Stock cab seat overhaul. This involves the overhaul of the driver and non-driver's seat assemblies used on the London Underground S-Stock. The S-Stock comprises of 132 7-car trains (S7 sub-fleet; District Line, Hammersmith and City Line and Circle Line) and 60 8-car trains (S8 sub-fleet; Metropolitan Line). Each cab consists of one driver and one non driver seat assembly. The S-Stock cab seat overhaul falls under the wider S-Stock overhaul programme lift which is due to start in September 2020 and finish in Q1-2026. The aim of the overhaul is to return the cab seats to 'as new' condition to ensure train availability, reliability and safety until the next planned overhaul period. TfL is seeking to understand the current market interest in delivering the S-Stock Cab Seat Overhaul. Interested parties are requested to respond to the ‘TfL-01462 S-Stock cab seat overhaul: development phase — early market engagement' PIN by expressing an interest as outlined below. TfL may at is sole discretion enter into further discussions with respondents. Submission of expression of interest (EOI). Suppliers are invited to register their interest via ProContract. Please address/title your email: organisation name — confirmation of your interest in Transport for 'TfL-01462 S-Stock cab seat overhaul: development phase — early market engagement'. Suppliers should provide: (a) company name and company registration number; (b) key contact details; and (c) a short description of their company’s capabilities (Max 200 words) in regards to the scope which will be used by TfL for engagement planning purposes. No information contained in this document, or provided during and for the market engagement exercise, constitutes any commitment by TfL or any member of the TfL group or any of its or their stakeholders to undertake any procurement exercise in the future. TfL is not liable for any costs, fees or expenses incurred by any party participating in the market engagement. Any possible future procurement of any services, supplies or works by TfL would be carried out strictly in accordance with any relevant obligations under the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016.
