G&R/DOC/ Removal of Ebenezer vessel

Published

Supplier(s)

Albion Dock Company Ltd

Value

62,720 GBP

Description

G&R/DOC/ Removal of Ebenezer vessel This vessel has been requested to be removed by BCC due to the nature of the issue surrounding its original purchase. The Albion Dry Dock was commisioned previously to remove the vessel and if it's returned to Bristol Harbour waters, it will leave us unable to dispose of the vessel. If the vessel then it sinks it will costs 300k plus to recover it so this is urgent and should be completed under H&S. This will cause reputational damage to the council and Harbour Authority so the spend cannot be delayed. If the request is not approved, negative publicity that already surrounds the vessel and the councils involvement will resurface in local media exacerbating the existing situation so this must be resolved urgently.
