The Vale of Glamorgan Council ("The Council") wishes to purchase a childcare provision for Flying Start in the Colcot, Barry area ("The Service").The Flying Start programme in the Vale of Glamorgan is a Welsh Government initiative providing families with children aged 0-3 years with a range of intensive prevention services.The provision of high-quality childcare for children from 2-3 years of age is the centrepiece of the service delivered under the Flying Start initiative. The quality childcare provision focuses on children living in disadvantaged communities and aims to improve their outcomes in preparation for school and in the long term.Childcare Providers will be required to provide a childcare place to all eligible 2–3-year-old children living within the Colcot, Barry area, from the term after their second birthday to the term after they turn three years old (which is deemed as a 'free placement,’ but funded through Flying Start payment processes to nurseries).NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=145717.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility.
