Description
Network Rail wishes to overhaul and exchange the wheelsets on the following vehicles: 09-3X Tampers (DR73116, DR73117 and DR73118) and USP5000 Ballast Regulators (DR77906 and DR77907) manufactured by Plasser. The supplier is required to replace all wheelpans and axle bearings during the overhaul and the powered wheelset gearboxes require overhaul in accordance with the original build standards and Original Equipment Manufacturer (Plasser and Theurer) specification, this will take place on the machines/wheelsets and shall take a maximum of 12 weeks per machine set. During the exchange, Plasser (UK) Ltd is required to replace the existing wheelset with an already overhauled wheelset and take away the old wheelset for overhauling at a later date for Network Rail float, this will take place on the machines/wheelsets and shall take a maximum of 10 days.
