Kontrakten inkluderer en væskekromatograf, der er forbundet et højoresolutionsmassespektrometer (LC-HRMS). LC-HRMS-systemet skal anvendes til analyse af organiske stoffer (mindre molekyler) direkte i eller ekstrakter af forskellige prøvematerialer inkl. wipes, silikone-samplere, blod og urin. Udstyret vil blive brugt til en række nye kvantitative analyser (fx klorerede paraffiner) samt ’suspect screening’ og til en vis grad ’untargeted analysis’ af prøver fra arbejdspladser. Da niveauerne af miljøfremmede stoffer og forskellige eksponeringsmarkører kan være meget lave, stiller dette store krav til både udstyrets følsomhed men også opløsning (R) m.m., til identifikation af ukendte stoffer.
