Description
The contracting authority would like to procure a flexible ROV for the institute's research work. Lot 1: The contracting authority would like to procure a flexible ROV for the institute's research work. The craft will be used to observe life on the seabed and to take samples of biological material such as corals, fungi, and bottom fauna, and bring them to the surface for analysis. The craft will also be used for mechanical work on research installations that are fixed to the bottom with a depth down to 1500 metres in areas with relatively strong ocean currents. The contracting authority uses several different ships that the ROV will operate from, and it is important that the craft is easy to demobilise from a vessel, suitable for transporting by ship or road, and quick to mobilise from another vessel. It must be possible to use the ROV on a vessel with a lifting capacity limited to 3 tonnes and electricity supply limited to40 kW for all areas of use except mechanical work (primarily the research ship Prinsesse Ingrid Alexandra). For mechanical work, the ROV will be used from a ship without limitations in the electricity supply (primarily the research ship G.O. Sars). This is an individual procurement (this is not a framework agreement). Options for the procurement of an extra remotely operated vehicle that will be used for observation and possibly sample taking. The ROV will be placed and operated from the contracting authority's vessels, as well as hired vessels. The ROV will operate at depths down to 1500 metres, and will carry out visual mappings of seabed conditions, which will support the contracting authority's research and operations. The contracting authority will take up the option by 1 November 2023 at the latest. Options do not represent any obligation for the contracting authority.
