Description
The LGMA currently provides support, consultancy and advice to local authorities & LGMA business units around all aspects of the network services infrastructure, from small local area networks, through to metropolitan infrastructures and on to national policy. The LGMA network comprises of • A 100/1000/10000 MB switched infrastructure, Cisco 4500 and lower, layer 2 & 3. • Cisco ASA, Checkpoint R77.30 and Microsoft ISA 2006 firewalls • Cisco 7200 and lower routers • F5 LTM load balancers • F5 GTM DNS • Ruckus wireless infrastructure. The main protocol used by the LGMA is TCP/IP with routing protocols BGP and static routing. The LGMA operates its own Autonomous System (AS) with multiple networks using BGP routing policy. LGMA will be the primary interface and perform Level 1 (L1) support. The selected company will be required to support Level 2 (L2) and Level 3 (L3) calls. The LGMA expects to conclude an agreement for the acquisition of an 18-month contract to provide support, maintenance and advice on this infrastructure in conjunction with LGMA staff. Level 1 Support LGMA initial contact with customer and initial investigation and resolution if possible. Level 2 Support After initial investigation by LGMA, skills required by 3rd party company to resolve. Call escalated to company Level 3 Support Escalated internally in the 3rd party company to specialists (CCNP etc.)
