Summary of work The Competition Markets Authority (CMA) is wanting to appoint a Research Recruitment Agency to find requires suitable participants for its digital projects. A call-off contract to recruit participants from UK companies to attend research sessions. The objective is to procure a strategic partner to help provide research recruitment services. This includes: • Providing a diverse pool of research participants with a wide range of demographics based across the UK. • Provide profiles of proposed research participants ahead of CMA’s research rounds. • Manage the participates schedule inline with CMA requests and availability. • Manage the consent and participates incentive payments. Candidates will be asked to participate in either moderated or unmoderated research, which is marised below. All sessions will be held remotely: • Moderated research – The candidates will be asked to undertake usability testing for each of the services to understand where improvements can be made ahead of moving each service to the Live phase. The sessions will be held online through Microsoft Teams where a member of the CMA’s research team will introduce the participant to an application where they will be asked to complete some tasks and provide feedback to the research team. These sessions usually run for about an hour. • Un-moderated research – Candidates will be given time to test an application in their own time, typically walking through the application and completing the process. A survey will be provided by the CMA research team for the candidate to complete to provide feedback on the application. These sessions usually take the candidates around 30 minuets. There will not be a set number of rounds. Number of participants per round The size of rounds will vary depending upon the research projects however most will involve 10 participants for each campaign. Research dates Call-Off Contract from April 2024 until March 2025 with an option to extend for x1 optional year period. (1+1) How often research will happen It is anticipated that there will be 6 to 10 rounds of research this year, however this could increase if more projects commence. Research location All research sessions will be held remotely. Description of participants The participant pool must have: a varying levels of digital confidence. provide number of candidates with accessibility needs. provide candidate based, all, around the UK. a wide range of demographics (Male, Female, Non-binary, Transgender, Agender etc). A mix of employment status (Fullpart-time employed, Self-employed, business owner or similar) a broad mix of employment sectors (Accountancy, banking and finance, Business, consulting and management, ity and voluntary work, Creative arts and design, Energy and utilities, Engineering and manufacturing, Environment and agriculture, Healthcare, Hospitality and events, Information technology, Law, Leisure, sports and tourism etc) a broad mix of individual annual incomes (Under £15,999, £16,000 - £19,999, £20,000 - £24,999,£25,000 - £39,999, £40,000 - £59,999, £60,000 - £79,999, £80,000 - £99,999, More than £100,000) a broad range of family types (Alone, With parental family, With friends in house share, With partner only, With partner and children, With children only, other) a broad range of ethnicity (Asian or Asian British (Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Chinese or any other Asian background), Black, Black British, Caribbean, African or any other Black background Mixed or multiple ethnic groups (White and Black Caribbean, White and Black African, White and Asian or any other Mixed or multiple ethnic background), White (English, Welsh, Scottish, Northern Irish, British, Irish, Gypsy Irish Traveller, Roma or any other White background), Other ethnic group (Arab or any other ethnic group) The participant pool may also include: Unemployed, Students, Permanently unable to work due to ill health, Retired Semi-retired, Homemaker) Assisted digital and accessibility requirements Describe accessibility requirements: 7 10 s recruited should have any of the following types of impairments: Neuro-divergent neuro-atypical Learning difficulty Hearing Visual Physical motor Hidden Cognitive Other type of impairment or condition Research plan The Contract will cover multiple research plans. The recruiter will be expected to adapt to new requirements as new plans emerge. Budget Indicative maximum: £50000 Indicative minimum: The contract value is not specified by the buyer Further information: This is for up to a two-year contract (optional extension). Price per participant (including management fees and incentives): £200-£280.
