This is a prior information notice (PIN) only: Publication and a call for competition will be conducted once the scope of work is fully defined and approved. The main component of UKAD2 will be a medium-term competitive grant funding mechanism for very small, small and medium civil society organisations (CSOs) based in the UK and in DFID priority countries. The majority of funding provided to CSOs will be for project activities, although smaller CSOs will also be able to access additional funding to invest in their own capacity and resilience. For all information regarding times and venues please ensure to access these details within the additional information provided for PROJ10085 on the DFID supplier portal. Note, there are 2 elements to registration which must not be confused with each other. 1) Suppliers must register their interest to PROJ10085 on the DFID supplier portal to ensure they receive all communications and updates (this is not registration to attend the event); 2) Within the profile of PROJ10085 on the portal, there are dialogues/attachments containing additional documents which contain the link to register for the EME event. The objectives of this event are to: engage and inform potential bidders with/about the programme; to gather feedback on the planned procurement and draft terms or reference, and to gather feedback on the high-level programme design as set out in the programme summary document. The high-level objectives of the programme are to: — enable CSOs to deliver effective and sustainable contributions to poverty reduction across priority sectors, — improve the resilience, sustainability and capacity of partner CSOs, — generate learning and evidence about ways of working with civil society and across priority policy areas, — enable DFID to operate as a more effective and knowledgeable donor through its delivery of UKAD2 and the evidence it generates, — enhance the UK public’s and parliamentarians awareness and understanding of the SDGs, and of UK aid’s role in delivering them. DFID is seeking a supplier(s) to provide fund management services for UKAD2. Key fund management activities will include: the development of funding rounds, the assessment of proposals, grant management, capacity building support, programme leadership, risk management and assurance, communications, and financial management. The supplier(s) will be expected to provide fund management services for a high number of diverse projects.
