Value

Description

Overview Transport for London (TfL) is committed to reducing dust on the London Underground. While levels of airborne Particle Matter (PM) in the London Underground are currently below the occupational standards set by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), TfL aspires to further reduce these levels further. At present, TfL is engaged in the initial stages of market engagement by inviting suppliers to participate in a Market Sounding Questionnaire (MSQ) aimed at reducing dust. This MSQ is focused on seeking innovative solutions to potentially trial and scale, particularly those which can overcome challenges associated with reducing dust. The goals of this MSQ are to: • Understand what additional solutions exist that could supplement the work already taking place. • Understand what technologies exist in other industries that might be applicable to this problem area. • Gauge suppliers' interest, capabilities, and capacity to engage in a trial. How to Request the MSQ Step 1 - Register as a Supplier on our SAP Ariba System. If you are not already a registered supplier, you can do so by going to this web address https://s1-eu.ariba.com/Sourcing/Main/aw?awh=r&awssk=gzQvGwuPac3X0i_Q&realm=TfL&dard=1 Step 2 - Email v_chrismargarido@tfl.gov.uk to request your copy of the MSQ. Step 3 - Wait to receive an invitation to the MSQ event via SAP Ariba. There you will receive the MSQ, see all updates, communications and submit your MSQ response. Key Dates Final date to request the MSQ is 22 December 2023. Final date to submit your MSQ Response is 2 February 2024. Further Information and Support Detailed instructions on using our SAP Ariba System and guidance on how interested parties can communicate with TfL and access the MSQ through this platform are available at https://content.tfl.gov.uk/supplier-registration.pdf. If you encounter any registration issues, please contact Ariba_Supplier_Enablement@tfl.gov.uk. Lot 1: At this stage, TfL is undertaking early market engagement: • Understand what solutions exist and ready for implementation • Understand what technologies exist in other industries that might be applicable to this problem area • Gauge suppliers' interest, capabilities, and capacity to engage in a trial. Depending on market feedback, TfL may seek to process to trial and scaling phase which would include further procurement information.
