Description

Request for Information (RFI) for Operation Crackdown Solution Integration and Modernization Issuing Authority: Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex Title: Operation Crackdown Systems Integration and Modernization Reference Number: JPS1756 Date Issued: 04/10/2024 Submission Deadline: Sussex Police are inviting vendors to provide information regarding potential solutions for integrating and modernising systems supporting "Operation Crackdown," a public reporting initiative focused on driving-related issues. The initiative currently comprises three key systems: ASD (Anti-Social Driving) – In-house system for reporting careless or dangerous driving incidents. AMV (Abandoned Motor Vehicles) – In-house system for reporting abandoned vehicles. CSW (Community Speed Watch) – Externally hosted and developed a platform for community volunteers to report speed-related issues. The ASD and AMV systems share the same technical platform, which has become outdated and no longer fully fits the purpose. For example, it is not optimised for portable devices. The CSW system operates on a separate, externally developed platform. Objectives Sussex Police are seeking to combine the existing ASD, AMV, and CSW systems into a single, cohesive application that can be hosted in either Sussex Police’s cloud environment or within a vendor-hosted cloud infrastructure. Specifically, ASD and AMV the solution should mimic a case management system, allowing members of public to report issues through to resolving the case. It should allow for reassigning cases and be able to attach footage along with other features to help aid in the case. The solution must be modern, future-proof, fully supported, and accessible across multiple devices (including mobile platforms). Key project goals include: Consolidation: All three systems must be integrated into one platform.
