Pressure Area Care and Patient Handling including Beds and Associated Products, Rental and Decontamination

Description

As part of its pre-tender strategy, NHS Supply Chain would like to engage with suppliers in relation to Pressure Area Care products including Beds, Mattresses, Cushions, Slings, Slide Sheets, Hoists, Prevention and Support Aids. In addition, services associated with these type of products; rental, maintenance and decontamination. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £30,670,000 to £55,000,000 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. The total estimated value over the total framework agreement term is forecasted to be £220,000,000 (2+2 year term). The Framework Agreement will be between NHS Supply Chain and the Supplier. Under the Framework Agreement there will be two different methods of supply - one for Non-Direct Contract Products and one for Direct Contract Products. NHS Supply Chain will be entitled to purchase the supplies and/or services identified [below] [in the tender documents] as Non-Direct Contract Products which it will then make available for purchase by 1) any NHS Trust; 2) any other NHS entity; 3) any government department, agency or other statutory body and/or 4) any private sector entity active in the UK healthcare sector. For the supplies and/or services identified as Direct Contract Products [below] [in the tender documents] 1) NHS Supply Chain; 2) any NHS Trust; 3) any other NHS entity; 4) any government department, agency or other statutory body and/or 5) any private sector entity active in the UK healthcare sector will be able to enter into a direct contract with the Supplier for any of the supplies and/or services under the Framework. For Direct Contract Products the Supplier will be required to report to and pay a direct contract management fee to NHS Supply Chain as detailed in the tender documents. Non-Direct Contract Products Beds, Cots and Accessories Integrated Bed and Mattress Systems Mattresses and Accessories Cushions and Accessories Prevention and Support Aids Hoists, Stand Aids and Accessories Transfer Equipment Slings and Accessories Slide Sheets Bathing Equipment and Accessories Direct Contract Products Direct Lot for High Value Patient transfer equipment Product Rental Managed Service NHS Supply Chain expects to provide successful suppliers with the opportunity to offer additional savings to customers through the provision of discounted pricing, value added offerings and commitment/bulk buy initiatives. Lot Lot 1: Beds, cots and accessories Community Beds, Acute Beds Maternity, Birthing Bed, Cots and Cribs, Bed and Cot Accessories. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £5031297 to £5534426 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 2: Integrated Bed and Mattress Systems​ Bed Frames which come with Integrated mattresses as standard - Paediatric, Adult and Plus Size. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £1,009,518 and £1,110,470 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 3: Mattresses and Accessories Static Mattresses, Dynamic Mattresses, Hybrid Mattresses, Overlay Mattresses, Mattress Pumps and Accessories. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £3,238,360 and £3,562,196 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 4: Cushions and Accessories​ Static Cushions, Dynamic Cushion, Hybrid Cushions, Cushion Pumps and Accessories. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £90,194 and £99,213 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 5: Prevention and Support Aids​ Pressure Mapping Systems, Skin/Tissue Assessment Systems & Accessories Bootees / Foot Protectors Heel, Protector Support Aids. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £2,256,459 and £2,482,105 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 6: Hoists, Stand Aids and Accessories Mobile - Electrical & Accessories, Mobile - Hydraulic & Accessories, Mobile Gantry Hoists, Sit to stand Bath hoists, Swimming Pool Hoists, Manual Stand Aids & Accessories, Electric Stand Aids & Accessories. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £1,511,254 and £1,662,379 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 7: Transfer Equipment​ Air Assisted Lifting / Transfer Devices, Turn Table, Swivel Cushion, Sitting Transfer Board, Supine Transfer Board, Supine Transfer Sheet, Transfer equipment accessories, Handling Belts / Transfer Belts. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £3,248,340 and £3,573,174 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 8: Slings and Accessories​ This Lot is for Slings and Accessories that allow patients in hospitals and nursing homes, and those receiving home health care to be transferred between a bed and a chair or other similar resting place. Products within this Lot include, but shall not be limited to: loop slings for use with hoists; clip slings for use with hoists; and high back slings for use with hoists. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £2,256,459 and £2,482,105 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 9: Slide Sheets Flat Slide Sheets, Tubular Slide Sheets, Hybrid Slide Sheets, Insitu Slide Sheets. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £7,017,050 and £7,718,755 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 10: Bathing Equipment and Accessories Shower trolleys, changing trolleys and bathing accessories. Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £18,535 and £20,389 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 11: High Value Direct for Patient transfer equipment Fixed Ceiling Gantry Hoists​, Variable Height Baths​, SEM Scanner​, Bed washer and decontamination​ Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £1,000,000 and £2,000,000 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 12: Product Rental Only For suppliers awarded to the lots on the Pressure Area Care and Patient Handling Framework you will be awarded to the product rental lot should the supplier wish. This is typically for high value and specialist products which are used intermittently in outlying clinical cases, such as but not limited to extreme bariatric patients or specialist burns cases. Customers will be able to rent equipment for the period of time required. All equipment covered by a rental agreement will remain the property of the Supplier throughout the duration of the rental period. The Supplier is responsible for any breakdowns, repair, servicing and replacement of the equipment. Services may include, but not limited to: • Delivery/collection • Cleaning/decontamination • Electrical safety testing • Repair/maintenance • Clinical/technical support • Service log Additional information: Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be in the region of £1,000,000 and £2,000,000 in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Lot Lot 13: Managed Service Bed management service. Customer will have a long term agreement with supplier. Supplier will provide bed replacement, maintenance and decontamination.
